  • I watched 314 movies this year! That’s 26.2 per month or about 6.3 per weekβ€”clearly, I made the most of my movie nights.

  • A whopping 525.8 hours! That’s nearly 22 full days of non-stop movies.

  • 2024 was officially the Year of Horror! I watched a spine-chilling 168 horror films, with thriller (161) and mystery (62) close behind.

  • The longest movie I watched was Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, which clocked in at a jaw-dropping 210 minutes. Talk about a marathon!

  • The shortest was Michael Jackson’s "Thriller,” at just 14 minutes. Classic, iconic, and always worth a rewatch.

  • A tie! I watched Friday the 13th, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Saw X, and Prom Night twice each. Clearly, I love my spooky staples.

    • First movie: The Breakfast Club on January 5thβ€”an iconic way to start the year.

    • Last movie: Friday the 13th on December 15thβ€”because you always end on a slasher classic.

  • I reviewed 134 movies this year, with my most liked review being for Night Swim. People loved my take on it as a β€œcringey, fun date movie!”

  • I watched 116 watchlist titles this year! Still a long way to go, but progress is progress!

In 2024, my movie-watching journey was a love letter to horror and thrillers, logging an impressive 314 films and spending over 525 hours immersed in cinema. Horror dominated my year with 168 spine-chilling watches, complemented by thrillers (161) and mysteries (62).

I kicked off the year with The Breakfast Club and wrapped it up fittingly with Friday the 13th: The Killer Extended Edition, a slasher staple I rewatched twiceβ€”along with other favorites like Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and Saw X.

Whether revisiting classics or diving into new releases, 2024 was filled with creepy slashers, eerie supernatural tales, and edge-of-your-seat suspense, proving once again that I live for the thrill of a good scare. 🎬πŸ”ͺ

β€˜24 TV

a slow television year in review

In 2024, I basically turned TV watching into an Olympic sport, clocking in a jaw-dropping 46,324 minutes of screen timeβ€”that's 1 month, 2 days, and 4 hours of glorious bingeing! My top shows included the trainwreck (in the best way) drama of Married at First Sight, the nostalgic laughs of Living Single, and the chaotic gems Unexpected, Jon & Kate Plus 8, and 90 Day FiancΓ©: Happily Ever After?.

Thursdays were my prime viewing day, while Tuesdays were my "rest my eyes" day because, you know, balance. My Serializd stats also revealed my love for reality TV (shocker), with a side of documentaries, drama, and crimeβ€”and I’m all about cozy, campy, cult-worthy chaos. Oh, and let’s not forget my most liked review:

"Not Big Ed doing all this shit to call off the f**ing wedding!!!"

from 90 Day FiancΓ©. (Apparently, my sass resonates!)

Turns out, I’m not alone in appreciating a little TV-induced chaos.

With numbers like mine, it’s no wonder I ranked among the top 4.93% of TV watchers globally.
